June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day, and there are many activities planned on the Sunshine Coast to celebrate and educate between the 21st and July 1st.

The syiyaya Reconciliation Movement is a joint initiative of Indigenous and non-Indigenous residents of the Sunshine Coast, who write: "We can't change what happened, but we can change how we see." The 2024 Spring Newsletter is available and can be accessed here: https://syiyayareconciliation.ca/?r3d=syiyaya-2024-spring-newsletter.

Please note that due to the recent loss of a respected Elder in the community, the Pole Unveiling Ceremony and all events at the Nation Hall -- the Ecko Aleck performance and the Chief Robert Joseph talk -- have been postponed until further notice.
