The summer months bring fresh opportunities to slow down and just enjoy each day as it comes.  Summer is made for recreation, relaxation, connection and reflection whether we are at home or travelling.  How can we help but notice the beauty and wonder of the world around us!

Summer worship at St. John’s will draw the community together for inspiration, connection and nature-focused reflection.

Drawing on the rich materials from Worship Design Studio, the theme for July will be ‘Purveyors of Awe’.  Each Sunday Jamie will invite the congregation to consider and practice simple spiritual virtues such as ‘Awe’, ‘Beauty’, ‘Curiosity’ and ‘Delight’.

The liturgy will be arranged a little differently to support our weekly themes.  Our opening will be a blend of speaking and singing and we will feature contemporary words of wisdom as well as traditional Scripture passages.

Together let's nurture a feeling of ‘awe’ and enjoy the softer, slower vibe of the Creator’s summertime presence.
