Beginning on September 12th, our Sunday morning worship time will be in a 'hybrid' format:  in-person gathering in the sanctuary and also online via ZOOM.

The Board met this week to explore with more care how we will re-open to Sunday morning in-person worship time, and we still have some preparation to do.  Detailed guidelines will be available in next week's "What's Happening."  However, we can tell you we will welcome people into the building on September 12th.  Zoom worship will begin at 10:00 am for the greeting and social time we have come to enjoy, and in-person worship in the sanctuary will begin at 10:30am.

Things will be different, as we need to adhere to the Public Health Orders:

  • we strongly encourage and recommend the use of masks indoors;
  • we are advising full vaccination for all attending worship in person;
  • the chairs will be set wider apart than we were before the pandemic.

If you are not (or cannot be) vaccinated or if you have a health condition that might put you at greater risk from accidental transmission of COVID in a group setting, please consider whether it might be safest for you to join us for worship via Zoom.

We will not be able to gather in the building for conversation and visiting following the worship. (Details about the resumption of 'Coffee hour' and visiting to come in the near future.)

Worship will be supported by 'Attendants' who will offer you a kind welcome, and clear directions on how we will use the space, the hymn books, etc.

Focusing on the many positives of this continuing strange time, we will be able to see one another in body, hear one another speak and breath and sing, and feel the spirit rise and flow among us!  Halleluia!

We are also very grateful to the expertise of Tom Kellough and Thomas Kern who have set-up the technology to enable us to continue with ZOOM from the sanctuary!

More to come!  We look forward to being 'us' together soon!
